Hi, I’m Victoria!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Santa Rosa, California. I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in 2016. I have experience working with diverse populations in community-based outpatient mental health settings as well as in my private practice. I have worked with everyone from folks looking for guidance through a life transition to those living with severe and persistent mental health difficulties. I am passionate about helping folks of all backgrounds to live their most authentic lives.

I approach therapy by going alongside you; I meet you where you are at and honor that you are the expert in your own life. I am everyday in awe of the bravery and vulnerability it takes to embark on your healing journey and am honored to bear witness to your personal transformation.

I believe in the innate worthiness of all people to be well in mind, body, and spirit. I strive to support my clients in moving through life transitions, relationship challenges, and healing trauma with warmth, empathy and acceptance. I aim to illuminate problematic patterns while balancing that with acknowledging and celebrating personal strengths. I work with adults utilizing a range of tools including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and skill building, narrative therapy, humanistic therapy, and mindfulness practices.

My specialty area is working with young adults who may identify themselves as “highly sensitive people” or relate to having traits of “Borderline Personality Disorder”. People I work with have typically experienced attachment disruptions, complex trauma, and/or invalidating environments throughout their life.

I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, client-centered perspective: focusing on genuineness, empathy, and helping clients connect their thoughts, feelings, and actions while preserving their own agency to direct therapy.

In my life outside therapy I am a gardener, a meditator, a creator of tiny things, an advocate for animals, and a sponge for learning.
